Women TechEU Grant

The Women TechEU project aims to support women-led deep tech startups, helping them grow and become leaders in their technological sector in Europe. With a grant of €75,000 and a personalized business development program, the project will support 160 women entrepreneurs from the European Union and Horizon Europe associated countries.

What is the objective of the funding?

The Women TechEU grant aims to support women-led deep tech startups.

Is my business eligible to receive funding?

To be eligible, startups must meet the following criteria:

  • Origin: The startup must be registered in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe associated country.
  • Early-stage startup: The legal entity should be SME and should established at least six months prior to the deadline of the submission date. The Start-ups that have been established and operating for not more than 8 years and not have received more than €1M in equity funding.
  • Women leadership: The founder or co-founder must be female and has to hold a top management position (CEO, CTO, CSO, or equivalent). The startup must have a female ownership of at least 25% of the company’s shares.
  • Deep tech innovation: The startup must operate in a deep tech sector such as life-science, computing, food and agri-tech, aerospace, energy and clean-tech, industrial technologies, telecommunications, new materials, or chemistry, including artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning.
  • Not previously funded: The startup must not have previously received EU funding for the same activities.

How much funding can I obtain?

Each selected startup will receive a non-repayable grant of €75,000.

Additionally, the entrepreneurs will have access to a personalized six-month business and personal development program, which will include support services and facilitation of meetings with investors.

How and by when do I need to submit the application?

Applications can be submitted from March 18, 2024, until May 20, 2024, at 17:00 CEST (Brussels time).
