What are European Cascade Funding Grants?

European Cascade Funding Grants are European funds provided through projects that have already received funding from the European Commission through European calls for proposals.

European Cascade Funding Grants provide non-repayable contributions, with percentages that can range from 50% to 100% (often in the form of vouchers), which are disbursed for:

  • Development of innovative solutions.
  • Development of pilot projects.
  • Implementation of technological solutions that utilize components developed by the ‘parent’ project.

6G-XR Grant

  • What does it fund?

The purpose of the call is to address the identified challenges in the 6G-XR infrastructures. Additionally, it aims at the development and extension of the four research infrastructures in preparation for future Open Calls focused on advanced experimentation projects. In particular, the project is looking for:

  1. Networking and computation enablers.
  2. XR enablers.
  3. RAN enablers.
  4. Sustainability enablers for local green energy, energy source control, and energy measurement and optimization solutions for charging and discharging.
  • How much does it fund?

Up to €60’000 in 100% non-repayable grants.

  • When does it expire?

The deadline for submitting the funding application is set for November 27th.

DIGIT-PRE Grant

  • What does it fund?

The call promotes the development of digital solutions in the field of health for prevention, prediction, and remote assistance. In particular, the areas involved are four:

  1. Mental health
  2. Rehabilitation
  3. Neurological disorders
  4. Lifestyle, Health, and Aging

Consortia of 2 or 3 SMEs based in at least two different European regions can participate in the call if they aim to accelerate the development of their project from a TRL6 level to a TRL9 level.

  • How much does it fund

Up to €140’000 in 100% non-repayable grants per consortium.

  • When does it expire?

The deadline for submitting the funding application is set for November 30th.

TITAN Grant

  • What does it fund?

TITAN will select and fund 8 pilot projects that present innovative and ambitious solutions to increase the transparency of food supply chains.

To be eligible, projects must fall within the scope of one of TITAN’s three pilot groups:

  1. Food Safety – The aim is to increase chain transparency and enhance food safety through the application of innovative technologies, including rapid detection methods and digital tools.
  2. Sustainability – The goal is to enhance chain transparency to promote sustainability for the involved stakeholders through the application of innovative digital technologies.
  3. Health – The objective is to increase chain transparency to enable consumers to make improved health-oriented food choices.
  • How much does it fund?

Up to €156’330 in 100% non-repayable grants.

  • When does it expire?

The deadline for submitting the funding application is set for December 1st.

DRG4Food Grant

  • What does it fund?

The DRG4Food project promotes data-driven solutions aligned with the goals of Digital Responsibility that actively engage end-users, promote data rights, and support the creation of sustainable food systems.

The call is open to multidisciplinary consortia composed of 2-3 entities, including startups, SMEs, research organizations, universities, technology adopters, and users in the food sector, with a focus on NGOs and consumer associations. Consortia should create a targeted solution in one of the following nutrition and food system areas:

  1. Food traceability and nutrition
  2. Targeted nutrition
  3. Consumer food choices
  • How much does it fund?

Up to 300’000 in 100% non-repayable grants per consortium.

  • When does it expire?

The deadline for submitting the funding application is set for December 11th.

FIDAL Grant

  • What does it fund?

FIDAL proposes innovative solutions for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector to enable Europe to achieve a leadership position in the standardization process and the global ICT market over the next 8-10 years.

Applicants are required to implement a set of new 5G standard use cases (or complementary use cases) and conduct related large-scale field trials. The proposed use cases should address one of the main areas identified by the project:

  1. Media
  2. Entertainment
  3. Emergency services
  4. Time-critical applications and services

The call is open to companies, research centers, or any other relevant entities, as well as owners of facilities and infrastructure.

  • How much does it fund?

Up to 250’000 in 100% non-repayable grants.

  • When does it expire?

The deadline for submitting the funding application is set for December 20th.
