I cascade funding (letteralmente, finanziamenti a cascata) sono finanziamenti erogati da progetti già finanziati dalla Commissione Europea. In questo post segnaliamo i bandi di Cascade funding aperti da Ottobre 2021 a Gennaio 2022.
Sono contributi a fondo perduto, con percentuali che possono andare dal 50% al 100% (spesso nella forma del voucher), che vengono erogati per:
- Sviluppo soluzioni innovative
- Sviluppo progetti pilota
- Implementazioni di soluzioni tecnologiche, che utilizzino gli asset sviluppati dal progetto “madre”

In each challenge 8 teams will be selected to compete for 3 event vouchers to the final event of €1 000 and a prize of €12 000 to be awarded in to the best concept.
During the competition the teams will need to develop a concept on how blockchain can be used to tackle the challenge proposed. Block.IS project will provide technical and business mentors to support the teams selected to participate in the final event.

|EIT RM KAVA 9||KAVA Call 8 aims to support innovation, higher education and lifelong learning activities, as well as to support partners in RIS regions, in order to secure the Raw Materials supply in Europe, support the development of this sector along the value chain from exploration to recycling, and to create jobs.||€500.000 per year||19/11/2021|
|inDemand-RCT||This call consists of some 14 technological challenges related to business innovation, digitalisation and response to covid19 identified by large/tractor companies located in the Murcia region.
Such challenges will be identified in an explanatory fiche-dossier available in the guidelines document. SMEs of any Member State of the EU or H2020 associated country are entitled to express interest and apply for providing digital solutions to those challenges.
|DAPSI||DAPSI will support up to 50 third parties through a total of three open calls.
The selected third parties will be engaged in a 9-month programme divided in two phases where experts in diverse fields will provide a successful working methodology, access to top infrastructure, training in business and data related topics, coaching, mentoring, visibility and community building.
The focus of the call will be on Data Portability use cases.
|CHERRIES||The project is seeking for innovative solutions to reach elderly people that are in need for social contacts, but often are hard to reach.
The solution / solutions that are granted funding will be conducted as a pilot project for a maximum of 8 months.

|PLATOON||PLATOON will support SMEs that target at least 1 out of 4 experimentation areas within Big Data and Intelligent Applications in the Energy Sector:
Applicants of this Open Call are free to propose their own product/service based on the project information provided in the Guide for Applicants regarding project objectives, reference architecture, components already under development and the available large-scale pilots.
|GEN4OLIVE||wo different types of project activities will be supported:
Scope: implementation of activities based on the use of olive genetic resources extracted from Germplasm Bank collections in order to characterize/test new traits that can be bred into new olive tree varieties.
ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

|AI4Media||The main objective of the AI4Media – Open Call #1 is to engage entrepreneurs, companies (e.g., SMEs, mid-caps) and researchers that regularly develop and integrate applied research in the field of AI, to develop new research and applications for AI, and contribute to the enrichment of the pool of technological tools of the AI4Media (AI4EU) platform.||€50.000 per applicant||1/12/2021|
|NGI Assure||NGI Assure shall contribute towards identifying and solving current issues, but do not need to provide a complete solution by themselves (although they may). NGI Assure strengthens the means we have for collaboration among all humans, replacing assumptions and potentially unjustified trust with uncompromising safeguards and verifiability where possible.
The following types of activities qualify for financial support, provided they are cost effective and have a clear link to the topics directly relevant to NGI Assure mentioned above – providing – and the objectives set out in the call:
|GALATEA||The target audience of the GALATEA Innovation Support Mechanism Voucher Call 2 are innovative European SMEs from the Maritime (port, ship, shipyard, maritime surveillance), ICT, Aerospatial, Aeronautic sectors wishing to submit proposals related to Blue Growth.
Three voucher types are offered: Development and technology transfer (up to €20 000/proposal), Prototyping (up to €60 000/SME) and Large-scale demonstrator (up to €60 000/SME).

|SUN||Main objective of SUN is to increase the commercialisation of space-enabled solutions and the growth of European start-ups and scale-ups in the space downstream and upstream sectors.

|EUCF||The EUCF funding is open to municipalities/local authorities, groupings of municipalities/local authorities, and local public entities aggregating municipalities/local authorities.
The objective of the EUCF is to build a substantial pipeline of sustainable energy investment projects across municipalities/local authorities (or their groupings) in Europe, by providing support to the development of investment concepts.
|IoT-NGIN||The objective of the IoT-NGIN – Open Call #1 is to expand IoT-NGIN consortium with IoT devices manufacturers, embedded software and FPGA/soft core partners to offer a) open interfaces and access to their IoT systems or b) embed IoT software components running on FPGA/soft cores.||Up to €150.000||30/12/2021|
Cascade funding Gennaio 2022
I-NERGY will select 10 bottom-up projects for the Technology Transfer Programme I, who will receive up to €50 000 for the execution of the project and take part in a 6 months support programme.
The scope of the programme is:
Building blocks and applications for new AI algorithms/services and small-scale experiments (prototypes) using own resources (modules, models and components) in order to address the developments and implementation of technology and systems applicable to specific cross-sectorial Challenges within the Energy sector for the purpose of enriching the AI resources and tools catalogue for Energy on Europe’s AI-on-demand platform AI4EU.
Beneficiaries: Consortia composed of three different entities from at least two different countries including one Academic/Industrial partner who acts as a Technology Provider and an Industrial partner acting as a Technology Receiver.
Support will be given to hree types of experiments:

SEED Innovation Vouchers, up to €5000, are available to SME’s to support an innovation project or new idea. The vouchers can be used to finance (or part-finance) external support from technical, legal, financial, and business experts.
