BlueInvest: Innovation and Investment for the Blue Economy
BlueInvest
BlueInvest is a program supported by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. The program’s goal is to stimulate innovation and investment in sustainable technologies for the blue economy.
Specifically, the platform is designed for start-ups and SMEs with innovative and groundbreaking technologies and solutions, especially those related to sustainable development goals, and it offers support in two key areas:
- Readiness Assistance: It supports companies in accessing funding by helping them acquire the necessary technical and market skills to grow.
- Fundraising Assistance: It provides one-on-one consultations to start-ups, imparting the financial expertise needed to close equity investment rounds. This service is intended for 20 selected EU start-ups with innovative solutions for the blue economy.
The Project
Ideare has been selected by BlueInvest as a mentor with the purpose of guiding the program’s start-ups in finalizing their business models and business plans.
To date, three start-ups operating in the blue economy sector have been successfully mentored.
